Welcome to the Counseling Corner
Meet Your Counselor
Katrina D. Wilson, LPC
Wow! I am so pleased to be your school counselor. This is my 13th year here at Pine Street Elementary School.
This has been a particularly challenging year for our nation, community, and school. We have endured a pandemic, grief, loss, tension, anxiety and so much more. Our families are children are in a crucial time of recovery, and we are here to help and serve. Our Student Support Team is prepared with a variety of resources to make sure that the social emotional needs of your children are met.
This year, we will be offering Social Emotional Learning (SEL) classes and will continue with PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports). We will also offer several exciting parent workshops, as well as Classroom, Group, and Individual Counseling for students.

Meet Our Team
Dr. Marilyn Mahabee-Harris, PhD
Dr. Marilyn Mahabee-Harris is our school-based mental health psychologist who provides additional services here at Pine Street for students who would otherwise have chosen to go over to the outpatient clinic at Viewpoint Health. She is available to provide psychotherapy to students who are having trouble managing their behavior appropriately, difficulties with relationships with peers and adults; family problems; have experienced trauma; are depressed, anxious; and who would benefit from additional support. She works closely with the school counselor, Katrina Wilson, and consults with each child’s teacher on a routine basis. Family therapy is also provided for the students she sees, and group therapy is arranged as needed.
Dr. Ajaryl Bell, PsyD
My name is Dr. Bell, and I am the School Psychologist. I assist students that need academic, behavior, social, and emotional support. Additionally, I partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for students.
Mrs. Callie Saddler, LPC
My name is Callie Sadler, and I am the Prevention and Intervention Behavior Specialist for Rockdale’s elementary schools, including PSE. I provide behavioral support for students who need extra social-emotional interventions and strategies to enhance their academic success. These services may include individual behavior plans, developing of coping skills, teacher consultations and collaboration with the student support team.
Ms. Unita Carter, MSW
I am the School Social Worker. I provide families with resources needed to help them in the community. I assist with finding resources in housing, food, clothes, medical care and a variety of other services. I believe that developing the whole child is essential to successfully developing students.
